Adidas Tinges American Football with Snow Cones!

In this part of the world, the term “football” may refer to soccer while in the Stateside, football is what we in the Commonwealth of Nations call rugby. 

Now, more often than not, monochromatic hues dominate the palette for football or rugby boots. The same goes to soccer boots where black is always the main colour.

Nevertheless, what Adidas did will certainly bring the shock out of you, football jocks: The Germany-based purveyor of sporting apparel and shoes has released its special edition football cleats called the Snow Cone edition. 

Well, for the uninitiated, snow cones are like ice-creams but with a twist: The desert is made from shaved ice or ground-up ice confection, depending on location, and doused with colourful syrup and served in either a paper cone or bowl. In Malaysia, the dessert is familiarly known as “Ais Kepal” or lumped ice. So colourful, the cleats would entice Joseph to ditch his amazing Technicolor dream coat and fight for a spot in the next NFL match!

Touted to be “fast with flavour,” the new Adidas Adizero 8.0 “Snow Cone” pack is designed to showcase style and built for elite performance and speed.

Upping its ante of style is the woven bootie construction that is sculpted according to the feet aerodynamics and wraps around in order to provide sock-like feel. 

The woven upper is seamlessly blended with a lightweight, TPU overlay that provides structure for lateral movements, durability and support. On the other hand, the anatomical lacing system is aligned to the bones of the foot for added comfort.   

Powered by a lightweight SPRINTFRAME with strategically placed SPRINTSTUDS and a rotational traction zone, the features provide peak performance, multi-directional strength and unrivalled traction.
