Dior Opens Pop-Up Store in Paris

Someone said that once you step off the black Mercedes or limousine and make your way into the swanky Rue Saint-Honoré, chances for you to resist the temptations of swiping your platinum or Centurion cards is either little or none.

With a coterie of renowned designer stores lining the rue, calling you out to take a peep inside, tempting you with delicious array of luxurious accessories and ready-to-wear, who could ever say non to that?

For a limited time only, die-hard fans of Parisian luxe maison Christian Dior as well as the maison’s newest Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri will be over the moon to know that Dior has opened up a pop up store at the haute rue within Paris’s 1st arrondisement.

Employing the architectural concept of Dior’s storied flagship at the Avenue Montaigne, the pop-up store focuses solely on the current Cruise 2018 collection that was inspired by the Motherpeace Tarot, a feminist-inspired deck of tarot cards created in the late 1970s by two Californian women, Karen Vogel and Nicki Noble.

Infusing their personal knowledge of feminism with history, alternative healing and psychic studies, Vogel and Noble explored feminism on each continent and followed traditions back to their origins, finding out the importance of feminine role within the vast indigenous cultures.

Adapting the symbolism featured on the cards as the collection’s leitmotif, Chiuri juxtaposed it with the prehistoric art drawn by the ancient dwellers of the Lascaux cave and cultural hints of the Wild West Americana, resulting a greatly received Cruise 2018 collection.

In conjunction with the pop-up store opening, Chiuri has created a series of six specially designed leather shopping totes with hand-painted visuals of the Motherpeace tarot imageries.

Screaming uniqueness and oozing with distinctive personality, these super luxurious carriers are the definite must-have within your expansive Dior handbags’ collection.

So, hurry book your first class flight now and head to the City of Lights before they are gone!
