Cara Delevignne Struts with Lion Cub at TAG Heuer Party

“Distinctive” eyebrows, an aristocratic family background and slightly taller than runway legend Kate Moss, English model and it girl Cara Delevignne is riding high on the enormous wave of popularity.

Almost everyone, regardless of industry, wants a piece of her: The fashion designers and labels are clamouring for her to front their advertising campaigns, season after season; fashion editors are booking her non-stop for their lavish fashion spreads; and even film producers and directors want to cast them for their movies.

Log on to Buzzfeed and you will find one interesting post on 21 things that you don’t know about this British it girl.

For instance, before she was scouted by Sarah Doukas of the renowned modelling agency Storm (the same person who discovered Kate Moss), she had her first taste of modelling via a stint in Italian Vogue, where she was photographed by Bruce Weber at the tender age of 10.

Another unknown fact about her: She made her acting debut beside British actress Keira Knightley in 2012 movie Anna Karenina as Princess Sorokina.

And if you were in Mulberry store recently and made your first time encounter with the Cara bag, I am happy to inform you that the bag was designed by Cara herself for the British accessories and ready-to-wear label.

Recently, Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer has appointed Cara Delevignne as its new ambassador. Chosen for her ability to be herself, the new ruling Queen of Brit Cool is deemed as a true path breaker who pushes past conventions and limits with unbridled creativity and passion.

More importantly, despite all the abounding pressure, she don’t easily crack under pressure, just like the brand itself. In addition, Cara too perfectly embody the core values of the Swiss watch brand.

To officially welcome the reigning runway princess into the TAG Heuer family, a party has been organised in her honour at the eve of Paris Fashion Week. Held inside the Salle Melpomene in the prestigious L’Ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris, the event, entitled “Welcome to the TAG Heuer Family” was attended by 150 journalists and VIPs. Inside the room transformed into a theatre of antiquity, Cara strolled boldly on the red carpet with a special guest in hr arm: a lion cub!

The stunt captured the immediate attention of the guests and the members of the media who were there. Rest assured, many would have agreed that the cute lion cub certainly made a perfect companion for the star of the evening who is a Leo herself.

Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and President of LVMH Watches Worldwide, greeted Cara Delevingne by offering her a TAG Heuer Formula One Steel and Black Ceramic Chronograph set with glittering diamonds—the perfect match for Cara’s unique rock’n’roll glamour.

“I am delighted to welcome Cara into the TAG Heuer family,” said Mr. Biver. “This is always a very solemn moment. The TAG Heuer family is not just an idea, it is a team, with true team spirit."

He further added: "We needed someone disruptive yet elegant like Cara to open our minds to the brashness and boldness of today’s youth. TAG Heuer has set its sights on “it-ness”, and Cara is just the person to help us get there. Thank you for joining the team, Cara, and welcome aboard!”
