Bulgari Hosts Diva Cinema Night at The 65th Berlin International Film Festival

There is a myth or a legend about a man who would fly up to the skies at night and gather as many stars as he can.

Using his remarkable skills as a craftsman and a goldsmith, he then work with the bright, glistening stars and fashion them into divine sets of jewellery, meant for divine beings - nymphs and goddesses - as well as women whom he deem worthy.

If only we could interpret the character in the myth or the legend into modern context, rest assured it would perfectly befits none other than Italy’s celebrated contemporary jeweller Bulgari. For decades, Bulgari’s exquisite jewelleries have never failed to seduce the most discerning screen goddesses and glamazons that dwell within the almost fabled realm of Hollywood.

So seducing, Hollywood icon late Dame Elizabeth Taylor often fell for its charm and prompted Welsh actor and former husband late Richard Burton to famously quote, “The only word Elizabeth knows in Italian is Bulgari.”

Besides the ongoing association with one of Hollywood’s most interesting and iconic power couples, Bulgari creations are also seen adorning the beautiful bodies of other contemporary style icons such as Carla Bruni, Rachel Weisz, Kirsten Dunst and Julianne Moore - breathtaking modern-day runway maven and indisputable screen goddesses who have all starred in the jeweller’s advertising campaigns.

Recently, Bulgari, together with Princess Lilly zu Sayn Wittgenstein-Berleburg and BMW organised a beautiful soiree to celebrate the brand’s long time involvement with the cinematic scene and its longstanding relationship with the stars at the Bulgari Diva Cinema Night.

Held at the Metropolpark in Berlin in conjunction with the 65th Berlin International Film Festival, the glitter and glamour-filled evening was attended by German’s who’s who, celebrities and important clients.

Brilliance is the order of the evening and perhaps, Berlin was the most shimmering city in the world, as guests were swathed in the majestic opulence of Bulgari baubles.

The host, Princess Lilly who is also the brand’s ambassador, was dressed in an all-white embellished ensemble with Bulgari necklace, a pair of gold ankle-length gladiator sandals and a matching clutch.

Sharing the photo wall moment with the Royal Highness on arrival was former Russian fashion model and Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko. The actress made her appearance at the event in a simple flowing white tunic with black trousers. She was adorned with a Serpenti necklace, a matching Serpenti ring in yellow gold and an off-white snakeskin Serpenti box clutch.

On the other hand, actress and model Nastassja Kinski, whose breakthrough role in the cult classic Cat People had earned her a global following and fame, arrived in a strapless sweetheart neck long dress in black with lace and beads detailing on the gathered bust.

On her neck, Kinski wore a splendid necklace with floral print pavé diamonds. Nevertheless, Kinski was not alone that evening as her brother Nikolai became her plus one for the glamorous soiree.

Amidst free-flowing champagne by Moët & Chandon in a plush lounge complete with replicas of cinematic gears, guests indulged at the sights of some of the most beautiful heritage pieces crafted by the artisans of the Italian jeweller - the major highlight of the evening.

To light up the party mood, DJ Nick Cohen was flown in from the Big Apple to spin his infectious tunes and get everyone dancing on the dance floor.
