Diane Von Furstenberg Celebrates 40th Anniversary with a Wrap Dress and DVF Times Installation in London

Looks like fashion designer, style maven and once permanent fixture of Studio 54 Diane von Furstenberg is continuously feting on her 40 years of successful career this year. 

Recently, the Belgium-born fashion entrepreneur and the main star of her own E! Reality TV show House of DVF flew to London for a cocktail event to launch a wrap dress exhibition and the DVF times at the newly opened Phillips Gallery at the Berkeley Square.

Hosted with Tom Chapman, the installation, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of the iconic wrap dress and the launch of the DVF Times features photographs by renowned luminaries such as Peter Lindbergh and Francesco Scavullo while the DVF Times features stories of freedom, fashion and independence – qualities that are abundant in women of contemporary generation – written from the unique perspectives of renowned figures namely Elisa Sednaoui Dellal, Hikari Yokoyama, Noor Fares, Poppy Delevigne and Princess Olympia of Greece.
In their stories, the women shares their insights on matters such as keeping up a diary, what makes them feel strong and confident and what are the questions that they would love to ask Diane. 

Also on display were photographs of Diane's personal art collections. Apart from high profile guests such as Ellie Goulding, Eugenie Niarchos who modelled an archived piece, which is a silk jersey jumpsuit circa 1974, Princess Marie-Chantal, Caroline Sieber and Alexandra Shulman just to name a few, the event was also graced by another fellow permanent fixture of Studio 54, Bianca Jagger.

Fashionable chats and air kisses flying from cheek to cheek, guests were treated to lavish Brancaster Lobster Bisque Salad, Wild Mushroom Milefeuille with Fresh Giroles and tuna tartan with coriander and lime, subsequently washed down with Lemongrass Collins, champagne and Elderflower presse with handpicked mint leaves.
