Bulgari debuts MVSA High Jewellery Collection at the Paris Haute Couture Week

Summer is at its peak and the Northern Hemisphere is basking under the pleasant rays of sun.

In the city of Paris, where the crowds are thronging the likes of Louvre; strolling along the Rive Gauche bank or enjoying the sight of the city from the world’s tallest structure –the Eiffel Tower – jetsetters and discerning fashionistas descended from their private jets and made their way into the bustling city for the fall/winter 2014 haute couture presentation.

Finely crafted confections painstakingly created by the skilled hands of the “petit mains” made their way down the runway, greeted by the arcane eyes of the front liners — notable fashion editors, critiques and most importantly buyers who are often seen at red carpet events draped in the luxurious creations.

In between the change of looks, one may hear sheer whispers exchanged between the spectators who are all dressed in no less than the current Pre-Fall collections, also freshly culled from the runways.

While haute couture dresses and ensembles may be the order of the week, the beauty of those exquisite pieces would be best complemented with bevy of high jewellery. Recently, contemporary Italian jeweller Bulgari unveiled its latest high jewellery collection known as MVSA.

Held at a scenic locale replete with summery blooms in virginal white within the vicinity of the world's revered fashion capital, the birth of MVSA high jewellery collection further fortifies the contemporary Italian jeweller's standing as one of the world's most coveted jeweller.

Furthermore, it also cemented Bulgari's status as the preferred purveyor of luxury goods, synonymous with Italian's unprecedented quality that for decades is known throughout the world.

Aptly translated as muse, MVSA is a collection of eclectic mosaic, playing on the beauty of the stone. It is a modern collection of strong colours combinations, amalgamated with bevy of unusual shapes, dramatic volumes as well as extraordinary manufacture.

In a way, the MVSA collection embodies timeless beauty, just like the muses, the daughters of ancient Greek gods that served as the inspiration behind this collection.

As the current brand face of Bulgari, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy was chosen as the muse of the MVSA collection as she possesses multiple facets in her bold personality. Her sensuality and mystery, plus her multiple talents lead her to live many lives.

The multi-faceted femininity in her plays with the archetype through jewellery, enabling Bulgari to capture that special, ineffable aura of this daring and talented former supermodel and ex-First Lady of France through an exciting advertising campaign that will debut in September onwards.

To celebrate the launch of the new High Jewellery collection, a coterie of VIPs, international fashion editors and trendsetters were flown into the City of Love to discover the new collection in a model show, staged within the refined yet intimate ambiance.

Present at the event were Academy Award winner Jared Leto, Eric Bana, Poppy Delevigne, Nina Dobrev of Vampire Diaries, Zachary Quinto, Arizona Muse, Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl just to name a few.

Post the model show and the preview of the new DIVA medium-high collection, guests were treated to the cocktail dînatoire and an enthralling set spun by Marjorie Gubelman, also known as DJ Mad Marj.
