An Intimate Evening with Eva Longoria and Montblanc in Cannes

Glamour is certainly the order of the week in the sun-drenched, glitzy coast of the Southern France.

For a week, silver screen goddesses, demi-gods of the film world and style arbiters are descending from their respective abodes to the grace the annual Cannes Film Festival 2014.

Just like the Oscars where film previews and awards aside, the unparalleled styles paraded by the stars along the legendary red carpet stretch, churned by the petit mains of top haute couturiers and fashion maisons is the main reason that brought photographers and members of the media from around the corners of the world to converge in this chic Riviera.

To enrich the goddessy gowns crafted in the finest materials are of course, swanky adornments in the forms of high jewellery by top notch jewellers. Montblanc, for instance, takes rose and its delicate petals as the emotive theme of its fine and high jewellery.

Case in point: a one-of-a-kind high jewellery set that consists of a centrepiece necklace, spectacular and slender shoulder-grazing drop earrings fringed with drop-shaped gems and an intricate matching bracelet in white gold settings with diamonds and rose sapphires.

Gold and glitters aside, Montblanc too has sponsored an excluisve yet intimate dinner on May 16th on top of the Palais des Festival to raise significant funds and awareness for the Eva Longoria Foundation and the Global Gift Foundation.

Hosted by the actress who is known for her seductive ex-fashion model role of Gabrielle Solis in the award-winning Desperate Housewives series, Eva Longoria who is also a philantrophist and an activist was joined by a small group of other influential figures in both philantrophy and buisness scenes.

They were  Mr. Julien de Beaumarchais, Mr. Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, French actress Carole Bouquet, football star Nakata, entrepreneur Vasily Klyukin, Spanish Actress Rossy de Palma, Singer Tina Arena, American Actor Brady Corbet, George Reyes son of Nicolas Reyes from The Gypsy Kings, French Actor Pierre Niney, Australian Actress Natasha Andrews, French Actress Barbara Cabrita and many more.

The evening kicked off with a special greeting by Mr Julien de Beaumarchais, welcoming all guests at the first fundraising event hosted by Montblanc.

Befitting the ongoing feast of glamour, guests were dressed up to their nines with Eva Longoria dressed in a rose-coloured dress with sweeping train and seductive scallop-trimmed plunging neckline.

On the other hand, singer Tina Arena bedazzled the photographers with a black strapless gown enriched with beads and tiered pleat details.

Global Gift Initiative that was created by Founders Maria Bravo and Alina Peralta gave attendees the unique opportunity to learn more about the world of philanthropy before introducing Eva, who spoke about her passion for helping women in need through The Eva Longoria Foundation.

Post dinner, guests enjoyed the night away out in the terrace with a special performance by Tina Arena, Reyes Heritage and DJ Tony Mendes.
