Victoria's Secret Runway Show 2013 ... The Wait Begins Now!

Each year in December, boys and men will be flocking in front of their TV sets, anticipating for the seductive angels to sashay and bask in all that glamour. 

Who needs the old-school fireplace with cracking logs on fire when a sultry parade of supermodels in sexy lingerie is enough to heat up the house? 

And perhaps, many girls would wholeheartedly wish that they are the ones who are walking on the runway. That show is none other than the annual Victoria's Secret Runway Show.

Laden with sexy visual elements and theatrical outfits to complement the sensuous lingerie, the 2013 edition will include a little twist – the show will be staged in New York City!

Yes, the iconic Big Apple will play the host and Victoria’s Secret notable angels such as Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel, Lindsay Ellingson, Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes, and Behati Prinsloo, just to name a few, are set to grace the revered runway in Victoria’s Secret usual pomp and splendour.

Directed by renowned director Hamish Hamilton – the same director who directed Madonna’s successful Drowned World Tour as well as Super Bowl halftime show featuring Madonna in 2012 and Beyoncé in 2013 – fans could expect to a slew of musical performances, pink carpet interviews, model profiles and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the world’s most celebrated fashion show. 

Like an annual ritual for the lingerie brand, Victoria’s Secret will also debut its Royal Fantasy Bra and Belt set. 

Designed exclusively for Victoria’s Secret by renowned jeweller Mouawad, the Royal Fantasy bra and matching belt are adorned with over 4,200 precious gems from around the world including rubies, diamonds, and yellow sapphires. 

Handset in 18 karat gold, the bra also features a 52 karat, pear shaped center ruby. The Royal Fantasy bra and belt set is valued at a cool price of US$10 million or RM31.7 million!

Furthermore, the set will be worn by Victoria’s Secret angel Candice Swanpoel during the runway show. This is the first time Candice has been given the prestigious honor of wearing a Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra. 

She will be following the footsteps of other top Supermodels that have worn the Fantasy Bra, which among others include Tyra Banks, Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima and Claudia Schiffer.  

While viewers at this side of the world may have to wait for a longer period before the show makes its appearance on local TV screens, American viewers could catch the glimpse of the angels live on the runway via CBS Television network at 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT.
