Starting with a collection of 12 lipsticks and backed by a slew of working experience with renowned photographers, fashion designers and editorials, Nars cultivated his brand into a full-fledged cosmetic brand with 400 products and subsequently became a cult cosmetic brand, globally hailed by beauty editors.
Befitting its cult brand status, fans of NARS in Malaysia oftentimes resorted to flying overseas with Singapore being the nearest city in the region where NARS cosmetics are sold. Now, travelling may be optional as NARS has arrived on our sunny shores with a standalone store located at Pavilion KL.

Bringing a spellbinding new spin on strong and sexy style, the Fall 2013 Colour collection juxtaposes haute, hypnotic and modern matte to create a seductive saga that is filled with intense hues in matte finishes.
Eyes are smouldered in turbulent shades of grey moon and navy smoke; lips veer from modest to drama-imbued decadence; nails are painted in regal purple or to accentuate minimal yet luxurious look, tempered with understated dove grey.
Sublime colours aside, each product is named after exotic and inspiring locales around the world such as the Kamchatka Peninsula in the far eastern part of Russia; the ever hectic and unique Las Ramblas of Spain; picturesque French beach town of Paimpol; and the African country of Namibia, just to list a few.
For the advertising campaign that was shot by François Nars in New York, Nars took his reference from the work of the 1970s’ most iconic photographers, including Helmut Newton and Chris von Wangenheim.
Fronting the campaign is German model Toni Garnn - the perfect choice to channel the decade’s liberated and powerful feminine style.
