Robert Pattinson for Dior Homme Spring 2018 Campaign

There’s not much been heard of British screen heartthrob Robert Pattinson, lately ― or have I locked myself in Rapunzel's tower, away from all of that Hollywood's glossy goss for too long?

Oh boy, if that was the case, then I shall turn on to E! News for more. However, speaking of Robert Pattinson, fans of the Twilight series' leading man will be over the moon to know that the British actor is appearing in the upcoming Dior Homme campaign. 

Shot by “fashion Kaiser” Karl Lagerfeld, the campaign black-and-white campaign is slated to break into major fashion publications as well as billboards soon.

A daring and radical artist who lives through his own artistic choices, in this campaign, Pattinson is seen embracing the spirit of an artist, conveying his expression of freedom in Paris’s classical setting. Shot against the rough walls of an artist’s studio, the haunting imagery is enriched with the romantic yet timeless spirit of Paris. The opened windows overlooking the classic Parisian panorama further amplifies the condensed sense of past, present and future.

For spring 2018 collection, Menswear Creative Director Kris Van Assche injects daylight into the collection, evolving the dark rave sensibility of his HARDIOR theme with a sophisticated optimism. 

Working with a juxtaposition of monochromes with petrol green, vermillion red, grey mare and washed denim blue, Assche’s interpretation of spring is all about contrast.

He mingles athletic references with traditional sharp tailoring, creating hybrid details and peppers the pieces with punk romance graphics via scribbled notes from Monsieur Dior’s archive as an all-over print and embroidered DIOROSES badges. 

There’s also a new denim capsule that reinterprets the Dior Homme suit: Matching denim jackets and straight leg jeans in raw indigo, bleached or distressed denim worn together with a classic shirt and tie.

Dior Homme Spring 2018 ready-to-wear and accessories collection will be available in Dior Homme stores, selected mixed-brand retailers and fine departmental stores worldwide soon.
