Prada Unveils New Perspectives for Resort 2018
Fusing past recollections with future perceptions to invent present visions, Prada created a unique visual identity to complement its Resort 2018 collection.
Captured by fashion photographer Willy Vanderperre, the new campaign, aptly titled Perspectives, features model Kris Grikaite in key pieces from the
collection with the Osservatorio (observatory) above Milan's 19th century Galleria
Vittorio Emanuele II as its setting. The
observatory’s soaring glass-vaulted ceiling and strict
artificial iron and glass panorama geometrics create a tension between the
collection's inspirations – sport meets Belle Époque era – and the Galleria’s
unique architecture.
There are also images that are
disconnected from a sense of then, or there, where the model floats in optic
white – a modern vision of Modernism.
