Gucci Immortalises Iconic Horsebit into Jewellery Collections
The
Horsebit – one of the most recognisable emblems by the Italian fashion house
Gucci – is immortalised into jewellery collection.
The collection, which was debuted at the recent Baselworld 2014 exhibition in Switzerland, features a beautiful amalgamation of characteristics the brand is known for – modernity, tradition, innovation and exquisite craftsmanship.
Often seen on its coveted collections of bags, loafers, accessories and also ready-to-wear, the fluid form of the horsebit translates beautifully into sculptural jewellery pieces, embodying Gucci’s fashionable spirit.
Available in several versions, the Horsebit collection imparts a new level of sensuality and opulence; frivolous without being overtly ostentatious.
Tinged in the warm and welcoming 18k yellow gold tones, the four-piece set comprising pendant, necklace, bracelet, ring and drop earrings.
The classic tone of the hue is further complemented by fancy brown diamonds. Each horsebit is delicately accented with coloured diamonds ranging from 0.42 to a full 1.06 carats.
In the white gold version of the collection, white diamonds are used to accentuate the pieces, bringing out its gracefulness while the pink gold version is generously adorned with visible pavé diamonds, representing the height of Gucci jewellery expertise.
The Blue Topaz parure version, on the other hand, epitomises Gucci’s fine expertise in jewellery making as it is entirely handmade by the brand’s Italian goldsmiths. This set features large sky-blue topazes that are contrasted with the glittering white diamonds.
Like the other versions, this set comes with cocktail ring with topaz surrounded by diamond pavé sides and clasps amounting to 0.88 carats; matching drop earrings complemented with rich, cascading white diamonds; and a white gold chain with a topaz pendant held in place with four white gold clasps and diamond top stone.
Gold aside, Gucci also reinterprets the collection into another celebrated medium – sterling silver.
A distinctive collection in its own right, the Horsebit Light collection features one of the most iconic motifs of the house, which is the Diamantissima.
The outstanding crisscross pattern featuring small connecting diamond shapes is meticulously applied to the horsebit pieces, giving the collection a new dimension.
For the Horsebit Light Collection, there are two necklaces of differences, each hung with bold Horsebit element on a long silver chain; a bracelet composed of interlinking horsebits and hoop earrings in the circular version of the iconic sign.
The Horsebit collection is available now at Gucci Timepieces and Jewellery stores, selected Gucci stores and authorised Gucci Timepieces and Jewellery stockists worldwide.
