The detailed process begins with prototype and pattern design. Once the pattern is conceived, the pre-cut shape is applied onto the leather and cut by hands.  

The rubber soles are assembled together with the leather soles, cut on hoc before the seams of the inner support that comprised of cotton ribbons and lining are sewn using the sewing machine. 
 
When all parts are ready to be stitched, the last is then positioned upwards and mounted.

Following suit, the artisan will nail along the marks and remove extra leather along it. 

The vamps of the shoes are then positioned followed by double-stitching by hand and the final round of hole-making and hand-stitching.

The tubular construction and the stitching on the last guarantees well-made, comfortable shoes that fits around the foot as natural as possible. 

A total of more than 100 stitches are sewn individually by hand and a single expert shoemaker is able to carry out the 200 steps of the process, hence assuring a lasting and excellent product with unparalleled quality.

Apart from materials that are synonymous with Prada’s heritage such as the Saffiano leather and the calf suede, Prada driving shoes are also crafted in a coterie of exotic materials such as fine ostrich and crocodile skins, adding a touch of genuine sophistication and exclusivity to the shoes.
