If the highly venerated late Diana Vreeland is still the reigning queen of the global fashion editorial scene, rest assured one of her infamous "Why Don't You" quotes for her iconic "Why Don't You?" column in Harper's Bazaar may likely sound like this: 

"Why don't you ditch Aspen or St. Moritz; the Christmassy reindeer and snowflakes motifs and the thick knits for something brighter and loaded with fanfare such as Palm Springs or anywhere in the Tropics? After all, there's nothing wrong with decorating the potted palm trees, instead of freshly cut fir trees, with Christmas baubles and bright lights."

Ah yes, celebrating Christmas away from the snow and the fireplace with cackling, burning logs is what a fashionista should do sometimes.
